I just started training Ryan for this chore too. He thinks it's great so far...I think he's just so glad not to have to sweep the floor anymore since it's now Abby's job!
As Ryan was unloading the dishwasher this morning, I was thinking about a saying the Amish have that children are a "liability" until they are seven at which time they become an "asset" in regards to how much they can contribute to the workload. Anyway, Hannah is going to be seven soon (how can that be?)! I don't know if I am training my kids well enough to meet the seven-year "asset" goal, but it is neat to see them contributing and enjoying it too! (Wow, that was really long! :D)
LOL. I'm not sure I could say that Hannah is trained well enough to be considered an "asset" as way of household chores. But man, I sure love the fact she can do one of the chores I HATE to do. LOL.
LOL..Yeah Ryan LOVES to clean the toilet, and I would LOVE to have him do it all the time, but he doesn't really get it clean enough so I always have to clean it after him. It will be great when he's able to do that job well enough that I won't have to. Of course by that time he won't LOVE it anymore either!
