Last Soccer Practice

Tonight was Hannah's last soccer practice, in anticpation for her last game on Saturday. It's a good thing the season is coming to an end, not only is it now dark, but it was cold and damp out there tonight!

The Indians and the Pilgrims

Hannah's class was joined by the afternoon kindergarten class today.

Together they did Thanksgiving activities that included making cornbread muffins, applesauce, and butter. At the end of the morning they came together as the Indians and the Pilgrims for a Thanksgiving feast.

In addition to the things they made, the feast also consisted of popcorn, apple juice, and pumpkin pie!

The kids looked as though they enjoyed their time together.

Meet Darth Hannah

This is Darth Hannah. She's sporting her Home Depot apron, complete with a purple feather boa. Also around her neck is an authentic Mickey Mouse tie, straight from Papa's collection. In her right hand she holds a Snow White scepter. Adorning her feet, although not able to be seen in the picture, are her red Snow White shoes. Isn't she a beauty?!?!

Mommy and Hannah Date

Mommy and Hannah went on a date tonight. And what better place to go than...Disneyland!! Yesterday kicked off the holiday season at Disneyland and the place was all decked out for Christmas!!! It's my most favorite time of the year at Disneyland. Hannah kept saying over and over that we needed to bring Rachel back becaue she is going to love all the lights! She's always looking out for her baby sister. It seem a little weird to be singning Christmas songs with 2 weeks left until Thanksgiving. LOL. Disneyland was VERY croweded on this three day weekend. So after fighting with the crowds for a while, we went over to California Adventure and enjoyed less crowds.

Fun in a Box

Our neighbors got a new 52 inch TV this week, which meant a great big box for having fun with. I cut a little hole out as a peek hole to look out and showed Hannah and Emily how to have some fun by walking around the Cul de Sac as a moving box.

Marked Absent??

Last night after coming home from going to dinner, there was a message on the answering machine from the attendance office at Hannah's school, stating that "my child had been marked absent today" and that I needed to contact the school to get her absence excused. We laughed about the message because it was Saturday. I checked with a couple other friends at church this morning, and they had received the same call!

As if receiving that message wasn't funny enough, the prerecorded message called again stating that my child had been marked absent from school again today. LOL.

I'll need to call the school tomorrow and make sure this is cleared up and doesn't affect her perfect attendance record thus far.
