More Games and Trunk or Treating!

Since our church had their alternative to Halloween last night, we went with our friends next door to their church for their Trunk or Treat and games. It was a lot of fun, and all 5 of the girls had a great time playing the games and gathering more treats and goodies! Here's Snow White trying for a 'Hole in One'. It's been another long and fun filled day!

Snow White Days

Going to Gramma's House

Going to visit Gramma and show her how cute two of her granddaughters are! Not to mention collect the 'surprise' she mentioned having!

Halloween Parade at School

Due to the limited amount of time in the Kindergarten class, there will be no Halloween party today. However, as Room Mom, I took donations and each kid will go home with a killer treat bag at the end of class this morning!

To start their day off, the entire school paraded around the playground to admire one another's costumes. The costume with the most participants this year was Darth Vadar! There were all kinds of Darth Vadars ranging in size! The runner up was Tinkerbell!

Hannah went as Pocahontas. I was glad she chose that costume, because there was another Snow White in her class. Hannah was the only Pocahontas...but I do think most, if not all of the Princesses were represented in the class!

A Day of Fun

This afternoon, our Cul de Sac had a Harvest Block Party. Hannah had soooo much fun. There were games and crafts, prizes and treat bags, and as if that wasn't enough, there was a bounce house too! Needless to say, she was worn out by the end of the afternoon.
However, our day didn't end there, our church had their Trunk or Treat event tonight, so the girls wore their costumes and went and scored on candy! Hannah went as Snow White...she looked AWESOME! I recently bought the dress on Ebay, brand new, still had the tags on it from Disneyland...$55! I got it for $11.25 plus shipping! I had a new wig tucked away for her Christmas stocking, brought that out to use with her new costume. She got soooo many compliments! She really did look good. She got kinda shy and reserve with all the attention though.
After the long afternoon and evening, she was tired!!!

Some Pictures to Share...

Towards the end of Hannah's vacation, we picked up a friend from preschool and she came to our house for lunch and to play for a while. The girls had a lot of fun!
Hannah has improved tremendously at soccer. She has come really close to making a goal the last couple of games. Here's a picture from today's game. She's #8.

Parent Teacher Conference

Today was our conference with Hannah's teacher. We had received her report card the final day of school prior to her going on vacation, so we already had an idea as to how well she was doing. But hey, it's always nice to hear it too! LOL.

Miss Cejka had nothing but great things to say about Hannah and how she was doing academically. She's actually above average in almost all of the areas she was tested in. Miss Cejka could tell that Hannah's been read to and is very familiar with books and print. She spent well over half an hour with us, going over papers, and Hannah's writing journals, etc.

One Kindergarten semester down, two more to go!

We were informed today that Hannah's School is now collecting Box Tops for Education. Twice a year, the class that has collected the most Box Tops will get an ice cream party.

Hannah loves ice cream, and she loves getting mail, so start collecting and send her some Box Tops!! :)

Back to the Grind

Hannah's vacation is coming to an end and it's back to the grind of getting up and going to school everyday!

It's been a great vacation, but it's time for her go back to school. LOL. Having 4 weeks off might be one week tooooo long. But I've really enjoyed the time we've had and the things we got to do. Now with it being the end of October, the holidays are upon us and time will really fly!

I like this track that Hannah is on. She's had a month off...and now goes back. Will have the traditional 4 day weekend for Thanksgiving, and 2 weeks for Christmas, and then goes back the 3rd of January for a few weeks then has the entire month of February off! I like that!

Hopefully it won't take too many days to get back into the routine of getting up and out the door every morning at 7:45!!

FINALLY!

Hannah's been going on the Pirates of the Carribbean at Disneyland ever since she was weeks old. However, about two years ago, she started refusing to go on the ride. So for the last two years we've been trying to get her on the ride from time to time with no success...until last week. We went to Disneyland with my Uncle Bart and he told her if she went on the ride, he would buy her something from the princess store. After a little more thought, and coaxing, she willingly went on the ride!!! FINALLY!

Now, it's a ride she asks to go on. She showed Gramma what a big girl she was today by going on the ride.

Feeding the Ducks

We live about a mile from a really nice park with a lake. From time to time we go and feed the ducks. It rained yesterday and in the night, which for some reason, always makes the ducks really hungry the day after rain. So we stopped by the park today to feed the ducks. There's always so many ashore the day after rain that it's just easier to feed the ducks from the car.

The Dressing of a Galaxy...

We had a fun outing today with some friends. We went to Los Angeles to see the exhibit Dressing a Galaxy: The Costumes of Star Wars, it was an exhibit of all the costumes from all six of the Star Wars movies.
We weren't allowed to use flash phtotography, so a lot of the pictures inside the exhibit are pretty blurry. Here is a picture of Hannah standing in front of one of many of Queen Amidala's costumes. She asked that I put this picture on her blog!
Following the Star Wars exhibit, just our family went over to Hollywood and had a special treat at Disney's Soda Fountain!! Hannah enjoyed the flavor of the month which was called Cinderella Swirl, and Steven and I had black and white sundaes. And Rachel, she pretty much enjoyed everyones!

A Field Trip of Adventures...

We accomplished a couple more things on our list today...we went to the Pumpkin Patch and we went to Oak Glen! We made a day of it and invited Gramma, Auntie, and cousins McKenzie and Haylee to come along for the fun.

First stop was the Pumpkin Patch. We had fun looking at all the different pumpkins and the different sizes. The older girls also enjoyed climbing on the hay castle and feeding the goats through the fence.

Following the Pumpkin Patch, we stopped and got some lunch, and then headed to Oak Glen, where Aunt Judy has a craft barn. So we went to visit her.

The girls had a good time collecting acorns that had fallen from the trees and enjoyed a sweet treat from the Candy Kitchen thanks to Gramma! The weather was a beautiful Fall day and it was nice to spend sometime outside enjoying it! Rachel was asleep in the stroller, which is why she is missing from this picture!

Asking Jesus into Her Heart

A couple of days ago Hannah and Gramma were carrying on a conversation as to whether or not her Sunday School teachers have ever asked if anyone wanted to ask Jesus into their heart. Hannah's response was that the teachers have asked kids to take turns praying, but never to ask Jesus into their heart.

Yesterday, while we were playing over at Emma's house, Emma shared her news of having asked Jesus into her heart the night before.

Last night after her bath, Hannah expressed her desire to ask Jesus into her heart. So after talking with her about who Jesus was, and what He did for us by dying on the cross for our sins, she concluded that she wanted Him to come live in her heart too! So she prayed a prayer asking Jesus to come and live inside her heart!!!!

Vacation Fun

We went to Disneyland today...the 2nd time in a week! LOL. We made a long day of it. The girls and I got there around opening and then late in the afternoon our friends joined us after school. And together we closed out the park.

Here is Hannah, with a goofy face, having found the lucky 4 leaf clover in Bugs Land at Disney's California Adventure...

While we were at Disneyland, there was a celebration going on in honor of it being the 50th anniversary of the Mickey Mouse Club. The original Mouseketeers were there, well 10 of them were there, and did songs and danced. It was pretty exciting to get to see them.

We've been keeping busy since Hannah went off track. Having gone to Disneyland twice in a week, having a sleepover at Gramma and Papa's with cousin Mckenzie, doing crafts, and just hanging out. We have a little over 3 weeks left in Hannah's vacation and plenty still to do!
